The Bench are sharing a series of events looking at the body, community, traditions, and the environment. The events delve into culture and community, examining both the maker and consumer with the focus on the appreciation of our ancestors and environment.
During Sydney Craft Week we connect artisans to a global movement that supports and appreciates the sacred value of storytelling.
Events include: Tuareg Ring Stacker Making (Saturday 8 October), Spoon making workshop (Sunday 9 October), Craft Up Late (Tuesday 11 October), The Embera Beading with Mami Watta (Saturday 15 October), Yoga for the Maker and Morning Tea in celebration of pieces and practices created during SCW (Sunday 16 October)
