Craft and the New Ecologies of Making presented by Makers Craft and Design, Waverley Council

Contemporary craft exists in a plethora of forms and hybrid relationships. Making dialoguesentwine ceramics, digital technologies and other media. Rod Bamford explores how the new ecologies of craft practice are not solely concerned with making things, but also active, considered ways of engaging with personal, social and environmental concerns. Hear about digital crafting, preserving Norman Lindsay vases and sustainable production. See a demonstration of 3D clay printing.

Rod Bamford works at the intersections of art, craft and design. Rod has undertaken commercial design, is represented widely in major collections and has recently returned from Heading the Ceramics and Glass Department at the Royal college of Art in London.
