Loom Heaven Open Studio, Elizabeth Calnan Textiles

Try weaving on an inkle loom, table looms, floor looms and compu-dobby looms, all threaded ready for new fibre enthusiasts. Experienced weaver and tutor, Liz, will answer questions and discuss the different looms or assist spinners keen to create their own fibre combinations during talks. Spinners can try a variety of double treadle wheels from Lojan, Louet and Schacht.

A fibre exhibition of woven scarves, rugs and wraps demonstrates the magic of silk, camel, wool, mohair, cotton and various fibre combinations, allowing audiences to touch and purchase items.

Exhibition, Open Studio Saturday 11 - Sunday 12 October, Thursday 16 and Saturday 18 October 10am – 4pm, free; Talks Loom Talks 10am – 11am, Spinning Talks 2pm - 3pm, free.
