Make Yourself a Journal
Join NSW Guild of Craft Bookbinders experts Avril Makula and Monica Oppen for a hands-on workshop to create a multi-section journal using long-stitch binding. This beautiful technique dates to the Middle Ages, and the non-adhesive binding process means no messy glue. Leonardo da Vinci had long-stitch binding notebooks and since interest in book arts has flourished in the last 20 years, this binding has come back into fashion. Take home your own beautiful hand-made journal and inspiring new creative skills. All materials supplied (lined bookblock paper, finished book oversize A5).
Workshop Saturday 12 October, 10am – 1pm. $80
